Happy Halloween

Trick or Treat! Rylee was so much fun this year on Halloween. She was sooo into it! She knocked on our neighbors doors, said trick or treat and helped herself to the candy in the bowls. She would take a piece of candy and then say "another one." And then would help herself to another. It was so funny. She also thought that she could just walk into peoples' houses and wander around. It was a riot. She also wanted to play with every dog she met. Sometimes people didn't have dogs and she would ask for the "doggy." It was soo funny. There were some neighbors that were so kind, that let her right in and let her play with their dog or wander around. A few times she sat right down in the their house and started emptying her pumpkin to check our all her treats. She even did that on people's stoops. There was one house so decked out in Halloween decorations, she didn't want to leave and kept asking for "more." Rylee also loved all the lit "pumpkies." We had so much fun and she made out like a bandit. Not sure if I am creating a monster but each day at lunch, after she eats all her vegetables, she gets a treat. She especially likes Hershey bars and rather that taking a bite she drags it across her tongue, almost like eating an ice cream; except that she drags the bar and doesn't lick it. It is the funniest thing. She was so sweet too.. blowing kisses to each person, always saying thank you and bye bye. Rylee has a way of making everything seem so magical and fun!

She was not really digging the lit up pumpkins on her head, Da da ended up wearing those. Rylee with all the treats she got.

Rylee's Christmas Wish List

Can you believe we are already thinking about Christmas? It is right around the corner!!

For those of you that are early in all this and have been asking what should I get Rylee for Christmas?? Well, you have seen our house and for those of you who live far away and haven't; it is overrun by toys and books!! Rylee does not need any toys or books!!! Also, Rylee has all the clothes and shoes she needs for this fall and winter.

As Rylee is too young to put her own wish list together; here is a wish list that we think would be good ideas (note: these memberships are very expensive so please feel free to give Rylee monies toward them and DO NOT feel like you have to buy a whole membership, PLEASE!!!) !!!:

1. A membership to Cape Cod Children's Museum:
http://www.capecodchildrensmuseum.org/membership.html

Rylee loves the museum and with the winter months approaching, this is a great activity that she loves. A full year is $75 for two and each individual member 3 and 4 would be another $10 each. We would love to have 4 in all, but 3 memberships is perfect too!

2. A membership to the ZooQuarium:
http://www.zooquariumcapecod.net/info.html

This is also one of Rylee's favorite things to do. I looked at the web site and couldn't find any information on the membership for the year, but I know they do offer it and I think last time I checked it was $55 for the year, which included 4 members. Here is the link:

http://www.zooquariumcapecod.net/info.html

3. A Membership to Gymport Kidz

This is also a great activity for Rylee so she can jump, climb, bounce, etc. If you are interested in this, call me because we would have to pick a specific class. Here is the link, check them out:

http://www.gymportkidz.com/

4. A swim class for the winter. I have looked into a few different ones offered on Cape. We would like to do this as a family and it would have to be in the evening, so both Pat and I can take Rylee. If you are interested, give me a call.

5. A day or night spent with Rylee is also a wonderful, FREE gift idea! Give her the gift of you!!

What is wonderful about these ideas, is that YOU can go with Rylee to one of her favorite places!!! A wonderful activity for you to share together!!!

Thank you and we can't wait for the season of giving to come! We have some wonderful surprises for our dearest friends and family!

With love..

Rylee

Free Day

Wow! Did I luck out, yesterday the church down the street, across from the horse farm was having a free day! Can you believe I got all of this stuff for free:

Halloween costume for Rylee this Fall.
A tricycle for next summer.
Cowboy boots- size 6
Dress boots- size 6
Sandals- size 6
Snow boots for when she is 3
2 snow suits, when for this winter and one for next winter (OshKosh and LL Bean)
3 stuffed animals (dinosaur, deer and beaver)
And about 10 long sleeved shirts, 5 dresses all for fall and winter
A really beautiful red velor Christmas dress!

I couldn't believe how much I got and for free!!!! I was so excited I just had to post about it!!!

I felt like I discovered a gold mine! All the things were donated to the church and every year they have a free day and donate it to the families in the community. Next year, I will be sure to go again and will also be donating some of Rylee's things she no longer needs.

I love reusing!!! It's such a rush!

New Toys and Thank You's

My best friend Sheila was so kind to give Rylee some really great new toys. Including but not limited too... a new country kitchen and a tool bench. These pictures were Rylee's first time playing with them. She was soo busy checking everything out.. it was a riot. She loves opening and closing the doors, putting things in the fridge, stove and dishwasher and then taking them out. She also loves pulling nails out of the bench and says "uh oh" when she gets it out and then smiles and says "ta da" when she gets the nail back in. It is a lot of fun watching her play. Thank you so much Sheila!! It was so kind of you to think of Rylee and she just loves everything you gave her. Toolbelt wearing pictures to be taken soon!!!

Rylee's best friend, Lambie

Rylee loves her lambie!!! Lambie is her first best friend. Lambie even comes before Elmo! Rylee said "Lambie" for the first time in May. It was really cute to hear her ask for Lambie. Lambie takes away all her boo boo's and he always comforts her. She has to sleep with him at night and for nappy's. Ma ma and Da da love Lambie too. Lambie used to "baa baa" but after several washes, he doesn't anymore.. but thats okay. We still love Lambie a lot! Here are a few pictures of Rylee snuggling with her Lambie.

Beach Fun

Such a great facial expression... I wish I had a close up and a really fast camera... ha ha. Rylee is so much fun at the beach. Notice her, swimmie shoes. Well, pre-swimmies Rylee was pretty freaked out by the sand. Hard to believe, being a Cape Cod baby and all but Rylee did not want to walk on sand. She has no problems going in the water but she really doesn't like walking on the beach. When we got her the swimmie shoes, what a difference. She is all over the place. Running in and out of the water, up and down holes, searching for crabs, digging for fiddler crabs, trying to pick up spider crabs, holding horseshoe crabs and then throwing them because they "disappear" and she thinks they are gone; anything crab related.. is a big hit, she also flies kites, plays with babies and big kids, points to planes, waves to seagulls, birdies, and boats, looks for fishes and tries to catch them with her net (okay, thats mostly Da da). Rylee loves the beach and when we drive up to the ocean and she sees it in front of her, the legs go a mile a minute and she gets so excited. When we leave the beach, the whole way home she is saying bye bye to beach and everything she saw on the beach, some stuff has yet to be interpreted but heres what we understand now, "bye bye beach, plane, baby, birdie, boat, fishes and wa wa (water)."
